BENEFITS OF WINDOW TINT

Uv Ray Proctection

Most people overlook the fact that your skin can suffer sun damage from inside your car. But window tints can block up to 99% of the sun’s UV rays for added protection while you drive.

Preserving your interior

UV rays don’t just damage your skin. They also make your seats and dashboard fade and crack. Tinted windows can preserve these materials & extend the life of your car’s interior.

Accident safety

A window tint is a film that sticks to the window and has the tendency to hold broken glass together in the event of an accident, thus preventing dangerous shards from flying around.

Increased privacy

Window tints allow you to look out while making it harder for others to see in. That makes it more difficult for anyone to see valuables left inside.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FILM

Choosing film can often be a little confusing especially if you are new to the world of automotive film.  Window film is measured in percentages. The lower the percent, the darker the film. The higher the percentage the lighter the film is.  The percentage is the amount of visible light that is entering the vehicle.  For example 5% (limo tint) is a very dark film because it is only allows 5% of the visible light through it.  Most crossovers, S.U.V’s, and trucks have factory tint on the back that are either 20% or 15%. So what film is best for you? Well that is a personal choice. Everyone gets window tint for different reasons. What brand of film should you get? There are a lot of good films out there and a lot of bad films. Our best advice is to do some research. This can be done with google search. Often forums are a good place to start to get other consumer testimonies or opinions. Good window film manufactures offer a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, fading and turning purple. Choosing the film is only half the battle. Just as important as the film, the installation process is just as important. Make sure you find a reputable shop that you feel comfortable with.

FAQ's

  • Do yo have Experienced Installers?
Experience is critical when it comes to the installation of paint protection films. Inexperienced installers lack the knowledge required for proper paint prep, proper application techniques to eliminate stretch marks, and a detailed eye for debris and bubbles that can become permanently trapped under the film.
  • Will SunTek Paint Protection Film turn yellow?
SunTek Paint Protection Film is protected against yellowing. Our top coat protects the Paint Protection Film against harmful solvents that are in gas, oil, bird droppings, car exhaust, etc. that can absorb into the film and discolor it.
  • Polarized sunglasses make Paint Protection Film look iridescent. Is this normal?
This is purely an interaction between light reflected from car surface through the film and polarized glasses. Light reflected from the surface is polarized in different direction and each polarization propagates through the film differently. This is an inherent feature of the film as it gets oriented to some degree during the installation. A good analogy would be looking at a screen of an ATM machine in polarized glasses – you can see a normal screen when you look straight at it and then you tilt your head and see a black screen.
  • How does the self-healing work?
SunTek Paint Protection Film contains a proprietary top-coat. This top coat protects the urethane against surface scratches. The majority of surface scratches will self-heal when exposed to heat – sun, warm panel (motor running), warm water, etc. We demonstrate this with a copper wire brush to simulate surface scratches that will self-heal such as surface dirt, sand, salt, etc.
  • Do you have Professionalism?
From our meticulously maintained shop, to our thorough quoting process, to our timely scheduling. We know your time is valuable and we will do what it takes to deliver an installation that exceeds your expectations, the first time around.
  • Will paint with and without SunTek Paint Protection Film fade differently?
No. The area protected with SunTek Paint Protection Film will fade at the same rate as the unprotected area.
  • What is Paint Protection Film?
In our expert opinion, SunTek Ultra is the best paint protection film in the market due to its exception clarity, and unmatched stain resistance due to their proprietary hydrophobic topcoat. It is also available in rolls up to 72″ wide which allows for one-piece installations on even the largest panels. SunTek Ultra comes with a 10 year manufacturer warranty.
